English Literary Meetings is a series of annual international conferences organised by the Department of English Studies at Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz. Our objective is to bring together students and scholars from various academic institutions to present their research and to engage in thought-provoking discussions on current trends and developments in the field of literary studies. In an attempt to explore the many-sided nature of literary research, we make sure that each ELM focuses on a different aspect of the discipline.
The list of English Literary Meetings organised thus far includes:
- Recycling History in Post-War Literature in English (2008)
- Culture and Anarchy (2009)
- Centres and Peripheries in Literature (2010)
Following the success of these events, we would like to extend an invitation to scholars and researchers to participate in the 4th ELM, which will be concerned with the theme of Living and Writing.
